Meet us at the TOWNSQUEER

Some of us over at the Mastodon server Gamedev.lgbt have put together TOWNSQUEER Vol. 1, a bundle of games for Pride Month! Get 28 games, five zines, four print 'n play games, two music albums, all for $20! The proceeds will go to some of our members as well as paying for the Mastodon server itself. You get cool games and help us to maintain our online village, it’s a win-win! But you have to hurry because the bundle only lasts til June 15th!

On top of the games contributed by participating members, we also put together a hefty 136-page zine with gorgeous cover and artwork by FUTURE RUINS! It was a labor of love and we would be very honored if you could check it out.

It was truly an honor being able to work on this with the Gamedev.lgbt crew, and I hope to be able to make more collaborative zines like this in the future. But in the meantime…

Bye bye to the newsletter

I’ve decided to retire the e-mail newsletter I had with Buttondown. It is a great service, but over the past couple of years, I was getting hit with a ton of bot signups, which quickly pushed me over the limit for a free account. I would either have to pay for a subscription to increase my limit (and probably hit the limit on that eventually due to bot signups) or keep on top of maintaining a bot-free list. Both options are more trouble than I want to deal with just to keep a newsletter that I very rarely use. So unfortunately, this means I will be saying goodbye to Buttondown.

You can still keep up to date with the latest updates by simply subscribing to this site’s RSS feed. There are a bunch of RSS readers out there, and if you’re not already using RSS to follow sites, please consider starting now! It is, in my humble opinion, a great way of keeping up with blogs and other news sites. I personally am using Feedbin, but there are free options out there like Inoreader. Give RSS a try!
